30, going on 17
And I surived my first day ordeal as a 30 years old. I’m now past my yuppie days and no one’s going to ask me for my ID when I buy ciggies or watch a NC16 movie. Not that I do. There will be some perks to being 30, there should be nubile young things who crave for a daddy figure’s attention. Wahaha!!! I’m far from being THAT mature yet there’s a feeling of liberation on becoming wiser yet definitely older. They say, age adds character to some and I wanna grow old like George Clooney type of way instead of Jack Nicholson’s. They who said, are probably some old fogey who are past their prime and in deep major denial.

My birthday tart from Akak
I embrace this coming of age and I’m as young as I feel like. So life, bring it on!
ehemm..ehemmm
I would like to thank family, friends and colleagyes who have wished me Happy Birthday as to date. I always give credit and recognition OK…every year..and these fabulous gifts!!!!
Mummy and Daddy bought for me a red shirt and two bermudas. Chinese New Year’s coming and I can wear this to visit NaiNai and get some angpow that I’m still eligible for. Thanks Mummy and Daddy!!

Noi got me 2 gifts, Loccitane hair products for my crowning glory and a book for leisure. I feel guilty likeit’s indulgence so I’m gonna scrimp and just use small dollops everytime. I think she knows I won’t get it for myself, I don’t even pamper myself this way so thanks!!! I would always only get something basic and cheap from Guardian..ahahha.. She still owe me my birthday Iboq dance, though.

Rozalie got chocolates and Hady Mirza’s latest CD album, SANG PENYANYI!! Thank you bro, I’ve been meaning to download this from IMEEM but well the site’s down now. SO this is BETTER!! Noi, nak borrow??

Akak got me RED SNEAKERS from Lee Cooper (RED?? Conspiracy with parents ke??) Ooo new shoes, feel like singing Paolo Nutini’s NEW SHOES song…oh Akak actually called me to ask my shoe size..and claimed she wanted to get it for Abg Han. LOL, u are so like Mummy lor..anyway THANKS, me loving the gift cos I onlky got 1 pair left..

NYE, 2010 already??
Nur buzzed me, if there’s any MOM regulations that indicates a half day on eve of New Year as an entitlement. NO. That’s a benefit and it would depends on your respective companies. I did actually goggled it, although I find that remotely disturbing if someone has to actually work late on NYE, unless his job needs him to. I’ve done my dues, doing retail when I was much younger and so I knew how much it SUCK to work when everyone else enjoyed the day off.
Yes, I got my half day off on New Year’s eve and by 1pm sharp, I’ve switched off my PC and cleared my desk. I took a dramatic quick glance around the room, let out a low sigh and pursed my lips. It’s my way of saying, “goodbye 2009, it was a great year but one with lots of anguish, despair, disappointment and heartbreak. In addition to the good jolly days, the excitement, the laughter..the experience. Here’s to a better 2010! YUM SENG!!!”
On my way out, I txt-ed Rai to inform her, “Me OTW now“, she had better not be late. I got the red storage boxes, 4 to be exact to dump in all the misc items lying a round my room, an attempt at better housekeeping. Lunch was the black pepper KFC chicken, too mild to even grant a hype. I made Rai accompany me shop for stuffs before resting for lunch and as you see, she was hungry beyond words.

I had to be at Jurong Point by 8pm, had to rush through my maghrib prayers, tak sempat nak khusyuk. The plan for the night was to watch the flick with Rozalie and Ben, our own private affairs. There would be no loud music and gyrating sweaty bodies, we have aged and we should celebrate the new year in a more composed mode. The idea of travelling to Marina to celebrate New Year did not interest me at all. That wasn’t a surprise as I loath crowds.
The cold dessert of mango puree and tau huay was appetizing, chilling and fulling, enough to last me the whole 3 hrs of movie. The show was great, way beyond my expectation and the only setback was the crying baby and the STOOPID parents who refused to exit the theatre. The 3D glasses that cost us an extra $4 were larger than my own specs and can you imagine how ridiculous I would look, wearing two mind boggling specs. For that, no pics were allowed to be taken in the cinema, my orders!! ahaha

MiniMee Hers
First it was the iPhone, now it’s the netbook. Guess whose influence, no pointing fingers hor. Seha got herself her last “toy” before the curtains close for 2009. Yes, it’s the HP MINI in *gasp* WHITE, because the PINK was too shocking and has that metallic 80s vibe. White is pure, pristine and uber cool, like mine, very similar to mine but ain’t mine. Mine is the special edition
~
For the record, Norm got the same model too, in BLACK. We are now the Brady Bunch of the Netbook frenzy. Hmm who else should we convert to use the HP MINI. I demand some sponsorships or endorsements..

The initial plan was to watch “Sherlock Holmes” at Cathay, me and Fieda BUT Seha had to get her NETBOOK pronto lest tidurnya tidak akan lena. How could I possibly let her source for her own netbook, based on her records, she might just end up with not just a netbook but other impulse buys as well. SO we skipped movies and went to Funan to get her netbook. Pink was out of stock at most outlet but the display set we saw was less than what we expected. HP retailer is giving a free RAM upgrade, so it was the best option for the day.
Not much could be said about the service. One staff serving us, 3 more at counter laughing away and charged us wrongly despite her colleague reminding the cashier to use “NETS”. When Seha gets angry, I just kept quiet. Dush!! Dush!! Tapi Pah comel ler bila marah…wahahhah…opps..
We had light dinner at Starbucks before we continued to KTM for some REAL FOOD. We met Fath by coincidence with her friends and while queuing for food, met Kak Pao & family there as well. This place is like the inaugural meeting place ah. The nasi lemak was kick ass, the interior brought us back to the 60s. Pah suker? Tidur dah boleh lena? Mestilah…
It’s My Birthday Today
It’s my birthday today.

Thanks for the attention.
I heart all of you.
Peace Out…
Xmas Day Off
I was supposed to attend the BBQ at East Coast with the Lepaq Peeps but due to an eye infection, I would limit my presence within 5KM of home ONLY. I am not Santa Claus so I rather stay at home than take away the limelight from that fella. Woke up early and cleaned up my room, threw away clothes I had not worn for years and all the magazines that I’ve not read for years. Did some minor re-painting in the room and moved around some of the furniture, threw out a desk and presto, the room was automatically larger.
Went to the Pasar for breakfast with Mummy, all this while Noi was still asleep. Got some cactus at the EXPO (pasar malam..but it’s daylight) for a cheap $10 for 7!! The stall near the bus stop are selling them at $10 for 3,it’s all about LOCATIONS!! Bought a pot of pink carnations for Mummy as well which she adores so much and had late breakfast @ Makan Syiok. Had to rush back for friday prayers and played online games thereafter. It was a well deserved break from all the re-decorating work done in the morning. Pat on my back!!!

Visited Nyi after maghrib and was served pengat pisang!! Bibik was around and there’s a new toy at Nyi’s. The MASSAGE CHAIR!! Noi and Mummy tried after so much persuasion. Noi was certainly holding herself back, she was not burping at all, not even once. Mummy truly enjoyed the session and perhaps if ada rezeki lebih, maybe we might get something similar, insyaallah. Problem is, we still do have impromptu guests who could not discipline their kids and I would not want to lease out the ugly monster in me when they are people around. Been there, done that. I have to compromise in the privacy of my own personal home. Pity me.
