Fieda Cries Of Joy

Kak Long finally reach her final 20s this year, 2 weeks ago. I still owe her a birthday gift, it’s being couriered over, bought it online with my other purchases. When you’re fasting and unable to satisfy your gastronomical needs, you tend to indulge in other vices and for me it’s retail theraphy. For the record, I bought an iPhone4 and 2 weeks later an 21″ iMac. Yes, the Japan trip had to be cancelled and so I’m chanelling these excess funds to other needs. I’m blaming Fiq for my indulgences. ehehe.

We had an impromptu iftar and birthday celebration, initiated by Nur and co-organized by me. Straits Kitchen was a tad too extravagant for some of us, since the response was not even lukewarm, it was freezing cold. I initiated Warong Lele which I’ve reserved for the later part of the week to iftar with my ex-primary school mates. Sorry guys, you had to be guinea pigs but well iftar turned out great. Everyone was satisfied with the array of food served and we had the whole restaurant to ourselves.

I’m gonna quote Imran, for Fieda.

When Your Abangs And Akaks Gather..

Mmg GAWAT dibuatnya..gendang gendut tali kecapi, kenyang perut suka hati…nie aksi satu² selepas sesi iftar cum birthday celebration for Fieda. Total turnup including birthday gal is 10. Angka yg tak dijangka sekali gus menguntum senyuman manis di bibir birthday gal. Lepas tu aksi multi burst tak hengat dunia di depan Temasek Tower. Korunk mampu buat? lol

Qiagen July Birthday Bash

We’re having the bash much earlier this month but out of 4 birthday peeps, only 1 turned up. Rosa, the sole representative for the July bash had to endure our tuneless singing not once but twice. It’s too horrible to be captured in video. ahahaha..

From Liang Seah To Earle

Birthdays come only once a year and due to age factors, I would rather not have any celebrations although a SURPRISE would be swell but it’s only coy and proper to pooh-pooh any hope lest you get disappointed. No one wants to mope around feeling sorry for themselves on their birthday and so I asked an old friend out for dinner. It was a belated birthday treat at Earle Swensens, I was expecting a birthday meet ups with the other friends but apparently no one stepped up to the game and *paiseh* my treat was like 3 days late.

I reached Liang Seah earlier and we had dinner there before our planned dessert pig-out at Earle Swensens. A short stop at Masjid Temenggong for maghrib, my first visit to this mosque, feels like somewhere in Selangor though. The mosque was distinctly different from the other mosques I’ve been to in Singapore. Perhaps the absense of the persatuan kaum ibu who usually lingers around tthe mosque compound.

Dessert was great and fat inducing but the view was great. For now, I could only see the USS from a far, planning to go there soon though.
