Gwe Kangen Ama Bali 17-21 April
The last day of my virgin trip to Bali. I’ve learnt so much about this place and it’s very similar to Bangkok, definitely will be an annual destination for me. We left our luggage at the lobby while we had lunch and continue to shop before we leave for Ngurah Rai airport bound for home. Fiq got a bike to ride around Kuta, that’s the beauty of Bali, there seems to be no STRICT rules, I mean how many of these foreigners actually have a licence to ride??
Why do I adore Bali, let me count the ways..

The lovely beaches
The laidback street rules, Fiq; helmet lawa!!
The touristy feeling (guess who’s 24 and who’s 30….)
The luxurious dining area
View from our dining area
The huge waves
Kuta Beach
The sexy bule (caucasians)
The artistic architecture
The abundance of attractions
The shopping paradise
The zen, chakras, yin and yang
The culture
Bonding with ol friends (Nur and her FURLA)
And making new ones (sorry Fiq, the other pic ur eyes were half closed)
Gwe kalu bisa mau aja gwe liburan ke Bali lagi. Ama teman2 yg keren banget, makaseh ya. Gwe butuh loe semua!!
Suka Suka Sukawati 20April
If you’re looking for great art pieces, drop by Sukawati. Got lots of art pieces for sale and photography is allowed. The stall holders here aren’t the friendliest you would find in Bali, especially the mbak that sold the kiddy clothes for Fiq meant for his nieces. The mbak and neng that sold us our T shirts were more accomodating fter I nudged and boosted her morale. “Mbak yg cantik mesti bisa bagi harga yg pas!!” wahaha.
Unless I’m planning on geting art pieces, I don’t think I’m coming back to Sukawati. The stalls are repetitions of each other and just how many bangles/ornaments can one buy, right.

Pura Trita Empul, The Temple Of The Holy Water 20April
As we descend from Kintamani, we dropped by Pura Trita Empul which was somewhere between Kintamani and Ubud, at Tampak Siring district. Pura Trita Empul means the Temple of The Holy Water, yeah it sounds like some Indiana Jones movie. What’s exquisite about this temple is the streaming of holy water that is so crystal clear despite numerous Hindu devotees and visitors bathing in it.
Everyone seems to be praying and bathing openly here. Sacred place so you got to keep your witty comments to yourself. Tengku told me that this used to be where the fair maidens bathe and the King chose his concubines. Hmm how true that story is, I don’t know. Anyone care to explain?
The exit was definitely different from the entrance and we had to walk through a mini market that sold souvenirs. I got a batik sarong for Mummy and a batik shirt for Daddy. Fiq came by to counter the sale and we got bulk discount, well he got more friends so he bought fairly more than me.
Pretty schoolgals at the courtyard

Chinta Kintamani 20April
We started the morning with a light drizzle and I got some zzz time on the way to Kintamani which took like forever and as the altitude increases, the temperature decreases. Thhe heavy rain did not help and I was sorely under-dressed with only a Tshirt and bermudas on. We were literally driving into FOGS and more FOGS and although it does seem to improve but we were already halfway through and to make a detour would just be futile.
At least the paddy fields were a great photo opportunity. Me and Tengku were mobbed just as we stepped out of the van and overlooking the paddy fields. An mbak kept on trying to sell her wood carvings and when I told her I could not bring them back, her polite yet pleading answer was, “Ini bukan tuhan, ini Ramayana dan Sita” which literally translate to “this is not deities, this is Ramayana and Sita.” Sorry mbak, my mom would pelangkong me if I brought ‘em back.
We reached Kintamani that overlooks Mount Batur but what was visible was just THICK FOG that manage to engulve the huge mountain. Ley’s all say Subhanallah. We had lunch at GRAND PUNCAK SARI RESTAURANT while waiting aimlessly and freezing with cold for the fog to subside. Our wait was just too long and we made our way back with the heavy sense of lost in our hearts. Takde rezeki.
Don’t tell me this photo doesnt pull the strings in your heart
It was raining heavily but it look so sunny here, ehmm pls thank the photo editor..wahaha
The sawah paddy fields
Food, glorious cheap food
My small portion for lunch
700000rupiah per person
FOGS, FOGS, FOGS
